Teas were a common event in Victorian times, and in fact they were so popular that in the 1880’s The Ritz in Boston and The Plaza in New York became well known around the world for their tea rooms and tea courts. In the early 1910’s “tea dances” became all the rage as a place for men and women to meet and socialize.
We will offer a meeting place for the ladies to meet each other and discuss topics of the day. These teas will happen on the first and third Saturday of each month; the first tea being at 4pm SL time and the second being at 12pm SL time. These times can be flexible to meet the needs of the group or hostess.
My schedule is very hectic these days so I will ask for a rotating list of ladies to host the teas. The basic duties of a hostess are to confirm the time here on the blog in the form of an announcement (I can actually do this for you all, as well as add it to the calendar), set up their home to accommodate around 10 ladies, and be at their home at the time of the tea. If you would like to be a host, please post here and I will get you on the roster.
The teas are very free form and have no real set agenda, other than for the ladies to have a place to meet up and chat, so the event is very easy on the hostess.
See you all there!

I would be happy to host some time. And unlike the last time I offered, I promise to not disappear for several weeks preceeding my turn as hostess.
